Project Pals Go skating


The Cam FFA sponsored a skating trip for all the 2nd graders in both school districts. FFA members help the kids put on there skates and helped them learn how to skate. The members and the kids all had fun.

Food Drive& Adopt a Family


The CAM FFA High School and Jr. High have been busy at the start of the winter. The members adopted two families along with sponsoring a food drive for the local food pantry the members have shown a interest and a responsibility to there home and community by planning and completing these activities.

Ag Students to Chicago


The CAM Ag Business class went on its annual Fall trip to the windy city. The kids have seen many sites of the city. The kids have been to a variety of attractions the city has to offer such as the Shedds aquarium,Field museum, CBOT and the Lincoln Park Zoo

Careers in Agriculture

On Nov 1st Student from CAM's Ag Mechanics and welding program toured Kinzie Manufacturing Plant. The student had the opportunity to see a variety of jobs and career options available to them . The students enjoyed learning about the types of jobs and the potential wages workers can receive.

National Convention update

From thee who have massive blisters, floor burn and have been sleep deprived.
Today we started the day out with heading to the Conseco Building to see the Western Regional Vice President resign followed by a very motivational speech given by Chad Hymas. After the morning of sessions we headed back to the hotel to get out of our uniforms and head to Stanley Poe's Sheep farm. There we learned about their ways of artificial insemination and how they run their facility. After the tour there we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the hypnotist. There Jordan made a fool of himself...like usual.
Tomorrow we will be checking out of the hotel real early to head to the RCA Dome to watch Taylor and Tasia receive their American Degree's. Then after that we will be headed back to CASS County because we know you guys all miss us.

Nation Convention


So we ( Jordan, Colton, Emily, & Sammi) started out leaving late....not like we had planned but we know miller. twenty minutes after we say we are going to leave. we take off. Any who off we went for our wild adventure to National Convention. We got lost in Des Moines picking up Taylor but not to worry we found her. Driving into the weee hours of the night we stopped at Peoria Illinois for the night. Girls began the night with locking themselves out of the room and the boys got the talk of "No opening the windows!"
Miller let us sleep in till 8 Wed. morning and then we took off for Indy. After getting 3 blocks from the motel the boys realized they forgot their pillows and back we had to go. After the long ride to Indy lots of singing and picking on each other. We made it. Unable to check into the hotel we took off to the Indy speedway. Took an amazing tour kissed the Yard of Bricks, made it to the winners circle and was almost stung by a bee! Knowing we had to make it to the opening session we had to go back to the hotel in hopes we could check in. The boys got their room as for us girls...we had to wait a long while and watch Millers head turn real red.

Milk Machine for School

The Cam FFA has help the school obtain a milk machine for the High School. The chapter worked with th Cass Farm Bureau to obtain a no interest loan to purchase the machine . We have got support from local area couple Wilber and Karen Berger and Milk unlimited in atlantic. The machine has been a big success at school

CAM FFA Judging

The Cam FFA judging Team has had a lot of success at the last two contest. The team placed first at Guthrie Center also having the top individual. The team place 7th out of 37 teams at the Spencer Fair and also had one member placing fourth out of 158 contestants. The CAM FFA will be sponsoring a brief safety program for each grade at both elementaries in our school system. We will also be sponsoring a safety progam for the High School during Homecoming week.

Summer FFA activities at CAM High School

The CAM FFA has been involved in a varity of activities this summer.
The 2007-2008 officers had a retreat weekend in K.C. Mo. where the revised and developed this years calendar of events and Program Of Activities.

The Chapter had over twenty members show at the Cass Co. Fair and showed animals in four different species.

This year we had 11 member compete in 9 different livestock judging contest with members placing in the top three at all contest.

We had three members participate at the Stae Fair as grandstand ushers or free stage attendents

We also had four member show livestock at the Iowa State Fair.


The fall looks like a new chapter for the CAM FFA and we look forward to it.

CAM FFA/Project pals



On april 17 2007 eight members of the CAM FFA recieved there Iowa Degre the highest award a student can recieve at the State level. The members who recieved this honor were Kaitlin Meyer,Sarah Thomsen,Diane Jurchen, Kaila Antesdel,Haley Wessling,Jordan Inman,Jordan Groves,Colton Jones.



On April 26th CAM FFA members that partisipate in Project Pals at the Anita Elementary made May baskets with the Second graders in Mrs.Anderson's class.

CAM Natural Resource class/Project pals



Project pals Mentors colored Easter Eggs on March 29 and on April 5 held a Easter Egg hunt.

The Natural Resources class is participating in Iowater Quality Program and are currently testing water at Turkey and Troublesome creeks. The students are checking for nitrate levels,stream depth and stream speed along with checking the amount of sediment in the water.

CAM FFA

The Cam FFA help sponsor Cougar Traits day helping bring in Ted Weise to speak to the student body.

The Students are starting a new quater with the Natural Resources Class starting to do water testing on some of the local waterways.
Greenhouse management is in the process of starting plants in the greenhouse

Agriscience classes are starting units on food and food processing

The FFA is still working our mentoring program Project pals in which they will be decorating eggs and having a Easter egg hunt with their project pals next thursday april 5
